The long Scottish dirk and a smaller knife called the sgian-dubh were essential gear for every proud Scottish Highlander. While the dirk served as a primary sidearm for the heat of battle, the smaller knives were often worn concealed in the sock and served as a daily tool as well as a last resort. The dagger also comes with a custom-shaped black plastic scabbard. Its chape is reinforced with a die-cast metal alloy featuring fine engravings of Celtic motifs, which perfectly match the handle itself and create a cohesive aesthetic impression.

Strong Warning: This compact dagger is primarily designed and constructed purely as a decorative collector's item and a theatre or cosplay prop. Due to the use of stainless steel and the overall construction of the handle, the weapon is under no circumstances suitable for contact stage combat, historical fencing, or real use as a working knife. Stainless steel is relatively brittle, and hard impacts pose a fatal risk of the blade breaking, which could cause severe injury to yourself and those around you. Dagger Maintenance and Recommended Accessories

Thanks to the application of stainless steel, the dagger is virtually maintenance-free. To maintain its clean appearance and high shine, simply polish the blade and the metal parts of the handle occasionally with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. The black scabbard can be lightly wiped with a damp cloth if it becomes dirty. To create an absolutely perfect and traditional Scottish outfit, we recommend combining this dagger with a woollen kilt and a leather animal pouch called a sporran, in which you can easily and stylishly store this handy weapon.
