Next, using the provided stringer cable (or with the assistance of a second person), you install the main bowstring. Cocking is done manually: you safely step into the foot stirrup, grasp the string evenly with both hands, and pull it smoothly upwards into the trigger catch mechanism until you hear a distinct click. You then load the arrow into the flight groove so that the index fletching (usually a different colour) points downwards into the track. For perfect aiming, the weapon is equipped with mechanical sights that you can adjust for both elevation and windage according to your needs.

We strongly warn you: never dry fire the crossbow (shooting without a loaded arrow)! All the stored kinetic energy would be destructively transferred directly into the limbs, which could lead to their immediate snapping and pose a risk of severe injury to you.
