Replacement Fiberglass Prod for 150 lbs Crossbows
Has your crossbow lost its punch, or typically, has the old limb snapped? Don't despair; there is no need to buy a whole new weapon immediately. This replacement prod (limb) is exactly the "engine" your machine needs to be back at full power. It is made of high-quality compressed fiberglass, designed to withstand high tension over the long term and provide consistent performance. With a draw weight of 150 lbs (approx. 68 kg), this is a powerful component that will transform your crossbow back into a dangerously accurate tool. The black finish with "CROSS BOW" lettering gives the part a modern and tactical look. Get back on the range with gear you can rely on. Further product information ...

Replacement Fiberglass Prod for 150 lbs Recurve Crossbows
Compatibility and Installation
This prod is specifically shaped for popular recurve crossbow models, such as the Man Kung 150 series (e.g., MK-150A1), and other similar models with wooden or polymer stocks. Replacing the limb requires some skill and strength.
The limb is inserted into the riser (the front part of the crossbow) and secured with a central screw via rubber pads (which protect the limb from direct contact with the metal). For safely stringing the bow, I strongly recommend using a bowstringer (bastard string). Attempting to string the bow with brute force without tools can lead to injury or twisting of the limbs.

Why Fiberglass Instead of Steel?
Historically, steel prods (spring steel) were often used for crossbows. While they had great power, they were heavy and became brittle in cold weather. If a steel prod snapped, dangerous metal shrapnel would fly everywhere. Modern fiberglass (composite) is much safer. It is lightweight, flexible, and if failure occurs, it usually "just" delaminates without endangering the shooter with exploding material. Furthermore, it does not suffer from material fatigue as quickly as metal.

Care and Safety Warnings
Even the best material has its limits. To ensure the prod lasts as long as possible, follow these rules:
- Never Dry Fire: Shooting without a bolt (arrow) is lethal for the prod. The energy has nowhere to go and dissipates destructively into the limbs, leading to immediate breakage or delamination.
- Inspection: Visually check the surface of the prod before every shooting session. If you see cracks or lifting fibers, decommission the prod immediately.
- Storage: Do not leave the crossbow cocked for longer than necessary. In winter, do not shoot with a frozen prod; let it acclimatize first.
