Viking Trousers Throsberg made of Cotton Canvas - Outlet
Are you looking for sturdy and comfortable historical trousers for your Viking or Germanic costume? These Viking Throsberg trousers are inspired by the famous archaeological find from the Thorsberg Moor in Germany, which dates back to the 4th century. Although older than the Viking Age itself, their practical and comfortable cut remained popular in Northern Europe for centuries. Our replica is made from strong and durable cotton canvas, built to withstand the rigours of battle, camp life, or LARP events. The trousers feature the characteristic looser fit in the seat, tapering towards the ankles, which allows for excellent freedom of movement. The belt loops let you wear them with your favourite belt. They are an ideal choice for re-enactment, LARP, or any historical festival. Further product information ...

Viking Trousers Throsberg made of Cotton Canvas
Comfort and Style Inspired by History
These Viking trousers, although named Throsberg, are based on the cut of the famous trousers find from the Thorsberg Moor (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany) from the Roman Iron Age (approx. 4th century AD). This cut was so practical in Northern Europe that it persisted with slight variations for centuries and is now synonymous with the garb of Germanic peoples and Vikings. The trousers feature practical belt loops, a baggy seat for maximum comfort, and legs that taper towards the ankles. This makes them easy to wear with high boots or leg wraps.
They are made from 100% cotton canvas, which is a strong and durable fabric with a long lifespan, ideal for re-enactment, camping, and rougher use. They are an excellent foundation for any historical costume from the Early Middle Ages.
Care Instructions
To ensure your trousers last as long as possible, we recommend washing them in the machine on a gentle cycle, ideally at 30°C. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach. Do not tumble dry the trousers, as the cotton canvas could shrink. Let them air dry. You can iron them on a medium setting (cotton).
Complete Your Viking Garb
These trousers are great on their own, but for the perfect historical look, complement them with a few other items. Woollen leg wraps (also known as winingas) are an excellent match, not only looking good but also protecting the calves. Don't forget a quality leather belt to thread through the loops, and a period-appropriate Viking tunic. A pair of historical leather shoes will complete the entire ensemble.
