The centerpiece of this pauldron is a deep embossing of a boar, rendered in a traditional Celtic style with intricate spirals. In many ancient cultures (from the Celts and Germanic tribes to the Romans), the boar was revered as a symbol of untamable strength, courage, and battle fury. The construction consists of two articulated leather plates (lames) that allow for free arm movement. Sturdy pure brass rivets ensure the pauldron holds together even during intense LARP skirmishes. The attachment system is practical and universal:
- Chest Strap: A long leather strap with a buckle goes across the chest and under the opposite arm, securing the pauldron firmly in place.
