The claymore is a two-handed sword common in Scotland in the 16th and 17th centuries. There are various names and spellings for this sword, most of which come from the Gaelic: Claidhem-More, Claidhmhichean-mora, Glaymore, claidheamh mòr, which simply means great sword. It is a long two-handed sword with a double-edged blade and a broad, often V-shaped crossguard, with circular decorations attached to the ends.
