How to Care for Your Shears

To ensure these shears serve you for many years, we recommend detaching and thoroughly washing them with lukewarm water and mild detergent after every use, especially after contact with food or moisture. Dry them immediately with a soft cloth. Although the steel is stainless, prolonged exposure to moisture is not ideal. Occasionally treat the pivot point with a drop of mineral oil to keep the action smooth. To maintain the edge, do not use the shears to cut hardened wires or nails.

Safety Warning

The shears are extremely sharp. Exercise increased caution when handling them, especially when taking them apart or putting them back together, to avoid cuts. Never use the shears as a pry bar, as this could cause the pivot to fail or the steel to snap. Always store the tool out of the reach of children.
