Although this specific model of gladiator boots is more of a stylised fantasy and cinematic interpretation of ancient footwear rather than a strict historical replica, it retains its key advantages. The sophisticated system of wide leather loops and long lacing ensures the boot firmly hugs the leg and does not slip down the calf. Important warning: Smooth leather on the sole is highly slippery on modern surfaces (wet grass, varnished wood, smooth tiles). If you wear orthopaedic insoles and plan to use them with these boots (even though it is an open model), it is absolutely essential to send them to us in advance. The manufacturer will precisely and functionally integrate them directly into the footbed for your maximum comfort.

Leather Care And Safety Warnings

To ensure the leather serves you for as long as possible and maintains its strength, regular maintenance is required. From the factory, the boots are treated with a beeswax balm. Regularly remove dust and grease them with a high-quality leather balm or cobbler's oil. This softens the leather, waterproofs it, and gives it a natural darker patina. The leather sole should be treated with a special sole oil. With any opaque colours (black), keep in mind that minor cracks may form over time under high stress. If a downpour catches you at a festival, stuff the footwear with old newspaper and let it dry very slowly at room temperature. Never dry the boots on a radiator, near an open fire, or in harsh direct sunlight!
