The upper of the boot is made from high-quality natural cowhide leather, which will beautifully soften and adapt to your foot after a short period of wear. Unlike strictly historical replicas with slippery leather soles, this model is equipped with a thick, textured rubber sole. This guarantees a sure step even in challenging forest terrain, mud, or on modern surfaces. The boots do not have a separate heel, which promotes a natural walking gait.

How To Care For Your Boots And Use Them Safely

Leather is a living material that requires regular care to ensure a long lifespan. The boots are pre-treated with a beeswax balsam straight from the workshop. We highly recommend regularly rubbing a high-quality leather balsam or oil into the leather to keep it soft, impregnate it against morning dew, and protect it from cracking. Please remember that leather will always darken slightly after applying grease. Minor scratches, which are simply part of LARP, can be easily hidden with a brown tinted shoe polish.

Never dry your boots in the immediate vicinity of an open campfire, a stove, or on a hot radiator! Extreme heat will irreversibly dry out the leather and ruin it. Dry them slowly at room temperature, ideally stuffed with crumpled newspaper to absorb the moisture. Although the boot features a modern rubber sole, always exercise caution when walking on wet rocks, roots, or smooth cobblestones.

To complete the perfect look for your costume, we highly recommend pairing these boots with coarse linen or woollen hose (tucking the ends inside), throwing a warm woollen cloak fastened with a fibula over your shoulders, and cinching your waist with a wide leather belt featuring a ring buckle.
