It is important for you to know that a bowstring is considered a consumable item in archery. With every shot, enormous tensile forces and friction act upon it. Its lifespan depends on the frequency of shooting, care, and handling. For this reason, the standard two-year warranty does not apply to wear and tear. The warranty covers only manufacturing defects detected before the first use (e.g., serving unravelling immediately after unpacking).

How to Care for the String

To ensure your string lasts as long as possible, I recommend you follow these principles:

• Waxing: Regularly apply special string wax to the string fibres (avoiding the servings). This prevents the fibres from drying out and fraying.
• Inspection: Visually inspect the string before every shooting session. If fibres are broken or heavily frayed, replace the string immediately.
• No Dry Firing: Never shoot the bow without an arrow nocked (so-called dry fire). The energy of the shot has nowhere to transfer and remains in the bow and string, which often leads to the string snapping immediately or the bow limbs breaking.
