Deluxe Three-Tier Samurai Sword Stand

Deluxe Three-Tier Samurai Sword Stand
Free shipping

Do you own a complete set of samurai weaponry and are you looking for a way to present it with dignity? This De Luxe stand is designed precisely for the needs of a discerning collector who owns a Daisho set (Katana and Wakizashi) accompanied by a Tanto dagger. Forget cheap plastics or roughly hewn wood. Here, deep black "piano" lacquer meets striking red felt. This contrast is not merely aesthetic but references traditional Japanese colour schemes, where black symbolizes dignity and red represents vitality. The stand transforms your weapons from mere objects into the focal point of your interior, whether you place them in your living room, dojo, or study. Further product information ...

Deluxe Three-Tier Samurai Sword Stand: High-Gloss Black Display

Clever Design for Three Weapons

Unlike common three-tier racks, this model offers a more sophisticated solution:

  • Two Tiers with Forks: The top and middle levels are equipped with classic U-shaped hooks. These are ideal for the long sword (Katana) and the medium sword (Wakizashi). The forks are generously padded with red felt, which protects the lacquer of your scabbards (Saya) from scratches.
  • Bottom Shelf: The third level is not formed by hooks, but by an elegant flat shelf, also lined with red felt. This space is primarily intended for a Tanto dagger, but it also serves excellently for displaying a sword cleaning kit, a decorative fan, or a Kozuka.

Etiquette and Sword Display

As a historian and connoisseur, I advise you on how to place swords in the stand correctly to maintain tradition and prevent damage to the weapon:

  • Edge Up: Always place swords so that the curve of the edge points upwards. This prevents the sharp edge from resting on the wood inside the scabbard, which would ruin both the edge and the protective oil film on the blade.
  • Handle to the Left: In times of peace, swords are displayed with the handle (Tsuka) to the left. This symbolizes that you do not intend to draw immediately (for a right-handed person, drawing across the body is slow). If you turn the handle to the right, you signal readiness for combat or distrust of visitors.

Stand Maintenance

Thanks to the high-gloss finish, the stand looks luxurious but requires care. Remove dust with a fine feather duster or microfiber cloth. Polish fingerprints with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid wet cleaning and aggressive chemicals that could dull the lacquer. The felt padding can be cleaned occasionally with a lint roller.
