Blade and Survival Features
The knife features a blade made of 440A stainless steel with a black coating that eliminates glare and increases corrosion resistance. The American Tanto blade shape is exceptionally durable for piercing and penetrating hard materials. The edge is partially serrated (combo edge)—while the plain tip cuts precisely, the serrated section near the handle easily handles fibrous materials like ropes, webbing, or thick fabrics.
The light metal handle conceals tools that can save lives:
- Seatbelt Cutter: A blade safely recessed in the back of the handle allows you to slice through a seatbelt in one motion without risking injury to the trapped person.
- Glass Breaker: The spike on the pommel is designed to concentrate impact force into a single point, reliably shattering a car's side window.
Operation and Ergonomics
The knife is fully adapted for one-handed opening, which is crucial in stressful situations. You can deploy the blade using either the thumb stud or by pressing the flipper on the spine. Once open, the flipper acts as a finger guard, preventing your hand from slipping onto the edge. A Linerlock mechanism ensures the blade stays securely locked.
