Medieval Huntsman Axe
This intimidating and deadly hunters axe has a thick wooden shaft which further widens towards the end. This ensures the axe won’t slip out of the hunters hand even when swung from horseback. The imposing steel axe head securely grips the hardwood shaft. Axes such as this could be used in many hunting related activities, such as chopping the carcass, removing the hide, and was sturdy enough to cut bone as well. The hunters axe was also useful if some clearing work needed to be done whilst out on the hunt. The axe head is made of high carbon steel. More information...

- Ergonomically shaped shaft extended below to a profile of approx. 73.3 * 37.3mm
- Thickness of the axe blade (cheek) approximately 6.8mm
- Thickness of the striking / cutting edge approx. 0, 5-1.5mm
- Length of the blade (toe to heel) approx. 223mm
- The ax head is approx. 218mm long
- The ax is jammed on the shaft and attached to it by pins (not secured with a wedge).
- The ax head is approx. 30mm thick over the eye/shaft

Even if this is a fully functional axe, it cannot be used in combat shows, historical reenactment or similar for safety reasons!
