Detailed Craftsmanship Inspired by Legend
The dagger boasts a blade made of 420 stainless steel, polished to a high shine and featuring a central ridge. The handle is wrapped in silver-toned wire, ensuring not only an authentic look but also a firm grip. The guard and pommel are made of metal with an antique brass/bronze finish. The guard is decorated with dragon or griffin heads, while on the pommel, you will find a relief of a lion's head, symbolizing courage and royal power.
An integral part is the black scabbard with fittings that add to the dagger's uniqueness. The throat of the scabbard bears the embossed inscription "IVANHOE" and below it, a detailed scene of a knight fighting a dragon. The scabbard chape (tip) is decorated with geometric patterns and a heraldic cross.
The Legacy of Wilfred of Ivanhoe
This weapon references the hero of the 1819 novel Ivanhoe. The story takes place in the 12th century, during the time when King Richard the Lionheart returns from captivity. Care and Maintenance
Although the blade is made of stainless steel, it requires basic care to remain beautiful. Wipe it with a dry cloth after every touch, as human sweat can leave stains even on stainless steel. Occasionally treat the metal parts of the handle and scabbard with preservative oil (e.g., silicone oil) to maintain their patinated appearance. Never wash the dagger with water and do not expose it to direct rain to avoid damaging the scabbard material.
