Leather Archery Back Quiver with Cross Lacing
Historical Context and Proper Adjustment
The quiver is among the oldest pieces of hunting and war equipment, with back variants being particularly popular among forest hunters and infantry archers for easy movement through dense undergrowth. Unlike hip quivers, a back quiver does not get in the way when walking, and arrows can be drawn smoothly over the shoulder. This model is equipped with an adjustable chest and waist strap, thanks to which you can fix it to your body exactly so that it does not twist during movement. Because arrows are drawn over the dominant shoulder, the quiver is manufactured in two variants – for right-handers and left-handers. Therefore, do not forget to state your preference when ordering so that the gear fits you perfectly.
Care for Leather Archery Equipment
In order for the thick cowhide leather to remain supple and strong for many years, it requires regular maintenance. We recommend thoroughly treating the quiver and all carrying straps at least twice a year with a high-quality leather balm containing beeswax. This will help the material retain its moisture resistance. If you get caught in a downpour on a hunt or in battle and the quiver gets wet, always dry it exclusively slowly at normal room temperature. Strictly avoid drying it directly on a hot radiator, with a hair dryer, or near a blazing fire – the leather would irreversibly dry out, harden, and crack. From a safety perspective, we recommend inserting arrows with field points or blunt (LARP) heads into the quiver; sharp hunting broadheads could cut through the leather bottom without an additional insert.
