Junior Archery Set – First Steps for Little Archers
Safe and Lightweight Bow for Children's Hands
This recurve bow is manufactured with children's needs in mind. The limbs, made of durable and flexible fiberglass, can withstand the rougher handling common with beginners. The riser (handle) is made of hardened plastic and is ergonomically shaped to fit securely in a small child's palm. The striking red and yellow colour combination appeals to children and is also highly visible in the grass.
The draw weight is only 10 lbs (approx. 4.5 kg). This is a key feature – the bow is strong enough for the arrow to reach the target, but at the same time offers so little resistance that a child can draw it effortlessly. This allows them to focus fully on proper stance and aiming without struggling with a heavy string. The bow is primarily shaped for right-handed users (bow in the left hand, string in the right).
The set includes extensive accessories:
- Quiver: A simple quiver that can be hung from a belt so the little archer always has ammunition at hand.
- Arm guard: Protects the forearm holding the bow from any potential string slap.
- Finger tab: A black protector that saves the fingertips when releasing the string.
- Paper target face: A colourful target for immediate accuracy practice.
- 2 Fiberglass arrows: Durable arrows with rounded safety tips.
A Bit of History for Curious Kids
The bow and arrow have accompanied humanity since time immemorial. Before it became an Olympic sport, it was a tool for survival. Prehistoric hunters used it to catch dinner from a safe distance. Later, in the Middle Ages, English archers became legends thanks to their longbows, with which they decided battles. Today, archery is a "royal sport" that teaches calmness and fair play. Your offspring connects with a millennia-old tradition with every shot.
Important Usage and Care Principles
To ensure the bow lasts a long time and the fun remains safe, a few rules must be followed. Never dry fire the bow (shoot without an arrow nocked). The energy of the shot could damage the bow limbs or snap the string. Store the bow in a dry place and do not expose it to extreme heat.
Although this is a children's bow with low power, it is still a projectile weapon. Children may only shoot under adult supervision. Never aim at people or animals. Ensure that the area behind the target is safe and clearly visible.
