Secure Mounting and Stability
Unlike cheap hangers that often wobble, this model is designed with stability in mind. On the back of the plaque, there are two brass keyhole hangers. These are oriented horizontally – a crucial detail. Thanks to these two anchor points, the plaque stays firmly fixed to the wall and will not tilt sideways, even if you hang a heavier or asymmetrical weapon on it. The principle is ingeniously simple: the sword is suspended by its crossguard on two protruding steel hooks. The blade then hangs freely downwards, secured by the weapon's own weight.

Historical Context and Usage Tips
Displaying weapons on walls has a long tradition, ranging from the great halls of medieval castles to the decorative "panoplies" popular in the Victorian era. Today, this custom allows you not only to admire the craftsmanship daily but also to have the weapon close at hand.
To ensure the plaque and your sword serve you well for years, we have a few tips for you:
- Installation: Use two high-quality wall plugs and flat-head screws for mounting (not included). Measure the distance between the rear keyholes carefully to ensure a perfect fit.
- Sword Care: If you are displaying a functional carbon steel sword, do not forget to treat the blade regularly with preservation oil or wax, as even normal room humidity can cause rust over time. We recommend using our sword maintenance kit for this purpose.
- Important Warning: The metal hooks on the front are made of mild steel and are not coated with plastic or rubber. If you own an expensive replica with a polished or finely decorated crossguard, we strongly recommend wrapping the hooks yourself with a piece of leather, felt, or electrical tape. This will prevent any potential scratching caused by metal-on-metal contact.
