Tactical Dagger Black Scorpion – Cord Wrap – 420 Stainless

Tactical Design and Functionality

The dagger features a symmetrical Spear Point blade with double edges, giving it excellent penetration properties. The blade is made of AISI 420 stainless steel, known for its high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. The blade surface is coated with a black anti-reflective layer, which not only eliminates unwanted glint (crucial in combat) but also increases the steel's resistance to external elements.

The handle is designed smartly – the metal tang is wrapped in a green nylon cord. This solution offers two main advantages: it ensures a secure and warm grip that doesn't slip even when wet, and in an emergency, you can unwrap the cord and use it for gear repair, building a shelter, or as a tourniquet. The dagger comes with a practical green nylon sheath that matches the handle and can be easily worn on a belt.

History and Purpose

Daggers have accompanied warriors since the Bronze Age as a secondary weapon for close-quarters combat. In modern times, this concept has transformed into "boot knives" or tactical combat knives. The cord-wrapped handle concept was popularized in the second half of the 20th century by units operating in the jungle, where equipment multifunctionality was paramount. Having a few extra feet of strong cordage integrated directly into the knife has often proven to be a life-saving detail.

Care and Maintenance

Clean and dry the knife after field use. If the nylon cord on the handle gets wet, allow it to dry thoroughly in an airy place to prevent corrosion of the steel underneath. It is advisable to occasionally wipe the blade with gun oil to maintain its appearance and functionality.

Safety Warning

Caution: The dagger has double-edged sharpness and a very sharp tip. It is primarily designed for thrusting or self-defense, not for chopping wood or prying, which could damage the tip. Exercise extreme caution during handling to avoid injury from the second edge.
