For minor, localized spots, gently dab the area with a slightly damp cloth using no harsh cleaning agents. Ironing must be done strictly from the reverse side at a low temperature (silk/wool setting) and always through a clean cotton cloth to prevent shiny pressure marks on the velvet. Alternatively, creases can be safely removed using a garment steamer from a short distance without allowing the hot metal plate to touch the fabric directly.
