The design is inspired by European women's fashion of the 16th century, when structured bodices became an essential part of noble and wealthy middle-class clothing. Proper undergarments protected valuable outer garments while creating the fashionable silhouette expected during the Renaissance. Full underclothing also improved comfort beneath several layers of clothing.

Designed for Comfort and Historical Appearance

The bodice is made from fine broderie anglaise cotton, reinforced with boning and finished with a pronounced pointed front. Rear lacing allows the fit to be adjusted to the wearer's figure. The short drawers feature comfortable elastic at the waist and below the knees. The long cotton robe is decorated with wide sleeves, generous ruffles and an elegant floral pattern, while the matching cap completes the ensemble.

This undergarment set is intended for Renaissance gowns with a fitted bodice. It is suitable for historical re-enactment, Renaissance festivals, LARP, theatre productions, living history events, cosplay and historical photography.

Care and Safety

• Hand wash or machine wash on a delicate cycle at up to 30 °C (86 °F).
• Use mild detergent only.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Iron on a low heat setting.
• Tighten the bodice lacing gradually and evenly to avoid unnecessary strain on the seams and boning.
• Accessories shown in the photographs, including footwear and other garments, are not included.
