The historical model of this men's costume dates back to the nineteenth century. During this time, traditional rural clothing was characterised by practicality for daily work, but also by rich decoration for festive occasions, when men wore the best they had in their chests. The outfit consists of three carefully sewn parts. The base is a comfortable shirt with long, wide sleeves that reaches below the waist level. A striking, fitted coat beautifully decorated with embroidery is worn over the shirt. The overall impression is then completed by a sleeveless vest. The material composition includes a combination of durable linen fabric, consisting of seventy percent linen and thirty percent cotton, and pleasant duvetine made of one hundred percent cotton. The linen provides excellent breathability and durability, while the duvetine gives the vest and coat the necessary strength and a noble appearance.

Care And Maintenance Of Historical Clothing

Here you will find detailed instructions for cleaning and maintenance. Linen and duvetine garments require proper care to ensure they stay beautiful and representative for a long time. We recommend washing gently by hand or in a washing machine on a delicate cycle at a maximum temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). Strictly avoid using bleach and a tumble dryer, which could damage the delicate embroidery and shrink the natural materials. Allow the garment to dry naturally, preferably hanging freely on a hanger in the fresh air. You can iron at a medium temperature; proceed very carefully with the embroidered parts of the coat and iron them exclusively from the reverse side.
