This ensemble is specifically designed for enthusiasts of fantasy realms. It comprises two main pieces: the outer doublet (tunic) and a long cloak. The collarless doublet features a deep V-neck filled with a dark brown chest panel, which is decorated with an elegant, swirling appliqué reminiscent of elven knotwork. The extended skirts and split short sleeves grant the garment superb dynamic movement during combat or travel. The cloak comes with a deep, sheltering hood and fastens practically at the neck with a loop and a button. This costume is perfectly suited for playing rangers, elven archers, druids, or wandering swordsmen at any LARP or cosplay event.

Fabric Properties and Benefits

The entire costume is crafted from genuine moleskin (also known in Europe as duvetine), a highly durable 100% cotton fabric. This material is slightly brushed on the outer surface, giving it the luxurious look and soft feel of suede or velvet. The primary advantages of moleskin are its incredible tensile strength, resistance to abrasion, and excellent breathability. Furthermore, the heavy drape of this fabric means the cloak will keep you pleasantly warm during chilly evenings around the camp fire.

Costume Care for Longevity

To ensure your costume serves you for many gaming seasons and retains its rich colours, proper care is required. We recommend machine washing on a gentle cycle at a maximum temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). Use a mild detergent without bleach. Never dry the costume in a tumble dryer, as this could cause the cotton to shrink and damage the decorative elements. Allow it to air dry naturally on a hanger. If necessary, iron the garment inside out on a medium heat setting to avoid crushing the soft nap on the front side of the moleskin.

To achieve the ultimate historical fantasy look, we recommend wearing a long-sleeved linen or cotton undershirt beneath the doublet, belting it with a wide, sturdy leather belt, and finishing the look with fitted trousers and high leather boots. Please note that the undershirt, belt, trousers, footwear, and the display mannequin are not included with this costume.
