Studded Belt, 13th Century
This Studded Belt was modelled on a specimen dating back to the 13th century. It is made of up to 4mm thick cowhide. Along its entire length it is decorated with flowers that are made of sheet metal in old copper colour. The edges of the belt are also decorated with an engraved groove. The buckle is forged of iron and provided with simple decoration. It is manually sewn onto the belt's strap with flaxy bleached thread. More information...
