The Viking belt with a beautifully decorated bronze buckle is made of up to 3-4 mm thick smooth cowhide. The buckle is cast in the traditionally manner using the so-called lost wax technology. The belt's width is circa 2 cm. The appearance of the buckle is modelled on an archaeological find from Fröjel, a town in Sweden. It dates back to the 11th - 12th century. The leather belt is decorated along its edges with an engraved groove.
