For Germanic tribes and the inhabitants of early medieval Scandinavia (including the Jutland peninsula), belt bags were an absolute necessity, as clothing at the time lacked pockets. Valuables, coins, amulets, tinder, or small tools were stored in them. This model stands out with its thoughtfully designed fastening system. A massive leather strap is threaded through an eyelet in the flap, preventing unwanted opening and potential loss of valuables. To ensure the bag serves you for a long time and the leather retains its suppleness and rain resistance, regularly treat it with a high-quality leather balm containing beeswax or a special saddler's oil. This prevents the material from drying out and cracking, especially after demanding outdoor events.
