Proper Maintenance Guide
Using this kit is straightforward but requires consistency. Apply X-SLICK to the deck rail in a thin layer every 15–20 shots—you will notice how smoothly the string glides and how much more consistent your shots become. Use EX-WAX exclusively on the center serving of the string. Rub the wax in with your fingers until the friction heat melts it slightly into the fibres. Finally, apply EX-OIL to the bolts and trigger area after any session in wet or humid conditions to prevent rust from forming.
What to Avoid
The most common mistake is over-applying EX-WAX. A layer that is too thick will trap dirt and sand, acting like sandpaper and destroying your string faster than dry firing would. Also, take care not to get EX-OIL onto your optics or lenses. Never use harsh chemical solvents or petrol to clean your crossbow, as these can damage the composite limbs or the protective camouflage finish.
