BLOCK Infinity Crossbow 20" - High-Energy Portable Layered Foam Target max. 520 fps
Are you searching for a target that can truly handle the heat of today’s high-velocity crossbows? The BLOCK Infinity Crossbow 20" is engineered to lock in a new level of extreme stopping power. Utilizing the exclusive PolyFusion™ layered technology, this target is rated to stop bolts travelling at speeds up to 520 FPS (158.5 m/s). Whether you are shooting a top-tier Ravin, TenPoint, or Excalibur, this block ensures your arrows stay intact and are easy to remove. Featuring 6-sided shooting with five unique high-contrast aiming designs, it’s built to outlast any standard foam target on the market and keep your practice sessions efficient. The BLOCK Infinity is not just another foam cube; it is a sophisticated energy absorption system. The PolyFusion™ process thermally bonds the inner layers to the outer foam wall, allowing the exterior to assist in slowing the bolt while the internal layers stop it with friction rather than blunt force. This results in minimal target fatigue and maximum bolt life. It is 100% safe for use with field points and both fixed and expandable broadheads, making it the ultimate versatile training tool for both target shooters and hunters. Designed with the mobile shooter in mind, it features a built-in convenient carrying handle for easy transport between your vehicle and the range. The various aiming points are strategically placed to offset impact areas, significantly extending the life of the target face and ensuring you always have a fresh spot to aim at. Archery Trivia
BLOCK targets are the most popular archery targets in the world. The "Infinity" name refers to the massive increase in target life achieved by allowing shooters to utilize all six sides of the cube, preventing the "tunnelling" effect common in one-sided targets where the centre eventually gives out.
How to Care for Your Target
- Rotate your shots: Make sure to utilize all six sides equally. Hammering the same spot repeatedly will wear out any foam target; variety is the key to longevity.
- Keep it dry. While the foam is weather-resistant, storing it indoors after use will prevent it from becoming waterlogged and heavy, which can alter the stopping dynamics.
- When using broadheads, ensure the blades are sharp. Sharp blades make clean cuts that "heal" better than tears made by dull or chipped blades.
What to Avoid
- Do not shoot the target if it is frozen solid. The foam layers need to be pliable to absorb the energy correctly; frozen foam can be brittle and crack.
- Avoid using arrows with damaged shafts or burrs, as these can prematurely wear out the internal PolyFusion™ layers by tearing the foam.
- Do not exceed the speed rating; standard diameter bolts over 520 FPS may result in pass-throughs or damage to your fletching.
To get the most out of your training sessions, I highly recommend adding a professional arrow puller for even easier bolt removal and high-quality carbon bolts designed for high-energy bows. A dedicated target stand can also help elevate the block to a more realistic shooting height for better field simulation.
