The blade is forged from 1075 high carbon steel, ensuring great toughness and durability. The blade profile gently swells toward the acutely pointed tip to maximize chopping power, and the top edge is sharpened for effective thrusting. While the original featured ivory scales, this reproduction substitutes them with natural black buffalo horn, secured with nickel silver rivets. The set includes a high-quality leather sheath with metal hardware and a matching period leather belt, adjustable for waist sizes between 32" and 49" (81–124 cm).
