While the handle nods to traditional craftsmanship, the interior hides modern technology. The blade rotates on ball bearings, ensuring an absolutely smooth and fluid action when opening. The 65 mm (2.6 inch) blade is made of proven 440 stainless steel. This steel is a staple in knifemaking due to its high corrosion resistance and ability to hold an edge well, while still being easy to sharpen.
The ergonomics of the knife are thought out to the last detail. Distinct finger grooves on the handle ensure the knife fits securely in your hand and does not slip during work. Usage safety is guaranteed by the classic and highly reliable Backlock mechanism, which firmly locks the blade in the open position.

- Oiling: Occasionally rub the wooden handle with a little olive or linseed oil. The wood "drinks" the oil, darkens slightly, and the grain becomes more pronounced.
- Mechanism: Apply a drop of machine oil to the pivot bearing now and then to maintain smooth operation.
