For any manipulation of the cables on a compound crossbow, a professional bow press is absolutely necessary to safely relax the limbs. Attempting the replacement without this tool will inevitably lead to the destruction of the crossbow and could cause you serious harm. ALWAYS entrust this replacement to a professional service centre or a qualified bow technician.

When to Replace and How to Care for Your Cables

We recommend replacing the cables whenever you replace the main string, or immediately if you notice:

• Any damage to the protective coating that exposes the steel fibres.
• Broken or frayed steel fibres.
• Any kinks or permanent deformation of the cable.
• Damage to the serving on the loops.

Care for Your New Cables:

Keep the cables clean and dry. Regularly inspect their surface and the loops. Waxing the steel cable portion is not recommended, but a light application of wax to the served loops can extend their life. And as always: never dry-fire your crossbow!
