For safe installation on a recurve crossbow, we strongly recommend using a crossbow stringer. First, place the new plastic end caps onto the limb tips. Then, slide the string loops over these caps, ensuring they are securely seated in the grooves. Never attempt to string the crossbow by hand without tools; this can lead to limb twisting or serious injury. Once installed, ensure the string is centred and the serving is perfectly aligned with the flight track.
String Care and Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for safety. To ensure your string lasts as long as possible, follow these steps:
- Before every shooting session, apply bowstring wax generously. Rub the wax into the strands with your fingers (avoid the centre serving to prevent grime from entering the trigger).
