The sting thickness is also important for the function of the medieval crossbow. Only a thick string can fit well on the bolt nock and catapult it properly. This replacement string is with its 70 component-strings very overdimensioned. It is therefore suitable for all draw weights of our medieval crossbows depicted below. Its maximum load amounts to 500- 600 kg.
