This sword is a perfect example of Gothic elegance and functionality. Its long, straight, and slender blade with a diamond cross-section is designed for effective cuts as well as precise thrusts into the gaps of plate armour. A simple, gently curved crossguard provides reliable hand protection. The long hilt, which allows for a comfortable two-handed grip, comes standard with our deluxe leather wrap with a central ring. The entire hilt is finished with an elegant "fishtail" pommel, which serves as a perfect counterweight.

How to Care For Your Weapon

A knightly sword deserves proper care.

• The blade is meant for cutting foam foes, not rocks, trees, or walls.
• Do not leave it compressed for long periods during storage.
• Minor damage to the foam can be easily repaired with a flexible superglue (we recommend Loctite Super Glue Power Flex Gel).
• However, remember that a broken core is a wound that cannot be healed.

A Piece of History in Your Hands

The longsword, often called a "hand-and-a-half sword" or "bastard sword," experienced its golden age between 1250 and 1550. It was the sword of the Hundred Years' War and the age of plate armour. Its design was a direct response to the needs of knights who required a weapon capable of effectively fighting heavily armoured opponents. It was a sword that could have been wielded by England's Black Prince or France's Joan of Arc; a weapon that decided duels and battles that shaped the history of Europe.
