Black Rubber Tactical Training Tomahawk with Spike for Self-Defense
The History of the Tomahawk and Modern Tactical Use
The tomahawk was originally a multi-purpose tool and a fearsome weapon of Native Americans. During the Vietnam War, however, it experienced a massive renaissance among US Special Forces when it was redesigned into a modern tactical form by the famous designer Peter LaGana. Today's combat tomahawks with an extended rear spike serve not only as a dangerous close-quarters weapon but also as a highly effective rescue and destruction tool for breaching doors or windows. Our rubber training model faithfully replicates this renowned aggressive design, allowing you to completely safely and realistically practice combat and defense techniques against this specific weapon.
Tactical Training and Easy Material Maintenance
This training tool consists of a durable handle made of hard plastic and a head made of softened rubber, which is firmly fixed to the shaft by a system of recessed screws. This two-part construction gives you the opportunity to train blocks, joint locks, and disarming techniques hard and with a high degree of realism, as the handle does not bend when leveraged like all-rubber weapons do. The anti-slip texture at the bottom guarantees that the tomahawk will not easily fly out of your hand. The tool is completely maintenance-free – simply rinse it with lukewarm water after training in mud or dust and let it air dry naturally. At the very end of the handle, there is a lanyard hole for threading a paracord safety line.
Crucial Safety Warning for Your Training
Even though the weapon has a rubber striking part, always handle it with maximum common sense during training! Always wear a protective helmet with a fencing mask, or at the very least tactical safety goggles, to protect your eyes during dynamic contact drills. Carefully avoid hard strikes to the head, neck, and joints of your training partner, as the hard plastic handle does not yield and the rubber head itself still has significant kinetic energy when swung, which can cause concussion or bruising. Furthermore, do not use the tool to pry very hard obstacles, as this could cause the rubber head to break out of the plastic shaft.
