The karambit knife originated in Southeast Asia, specifically in the regions of modern-day Indonesia and the Philippines. Its unusual shape was inspired by the claw of a tiger. Historically, it served primarily as an agricultural tool for gathering roots or cutting rice stalks, but it gradually evolved into a deadly close-quarters weapon within traditional martial arts (like Pencak Silat). Today, the karambit is experiencing a massive resurgence among tactical units and rescue personnel. The retention ring at the end of the handle ensures that the knife will not slip out of your hand, even in highly stressful situations or when your hands are wet or muddy.

Proper Use and Maintenance

This model is equipped with a spring-assisted opening mechanism (flipper). Simply press the protrusion on the back of the handle with your index finger, and the internal spring quickly deploys the blade. A sturdy Linerlock reliably secures it in place. This allows you to open the knife easily and rapidly with just one hand. At the end of the handle is a tungsten tip designed to safely smash car windows, while a cutter for slicing through jammed seatbelts is built right into the frame. To ensure your knife serves you well for a long time, keep it clean. Although the 440 stainless steel blade is highly corrosion-resistant, we recommend occasionally lubricating the pivot point with a drop of quality gun oil. To sharpen the specifically curved blade, use rounded ceramic or diamond sharpening rods.
