Suede Leather Belt Pouch with Buckle, Black, 10 cm
Double Security for Your Treasures
This leather pouch cleverly combines two closure methods. The inside is first secured with a thin leather drawstring, which prevents even the smallest items like coins or dice from falling out. For maximum security and an authentic look, the entire pouch is then secured with an outer strap made of firm, smooth black leather, which fastens with a decorative brass buckle. Thanks to the vertical loop on the back, the pouch can be worn comfortably on a belt, where it is always within reach.

A Historical Belt Accessory
In the Middle Ages and the Early Modern period, pockets as we know them today were a rarity. People therefore commonly carried their personal belongings – coins, a fire-steel, amulets, a seal, or small tools – in various pouches, bags, and purses hung from their belts. The belt was a key part of clothing and served as the "storage system" of the time. This design, combining a soft drawstring bag with a more secure outer closure, represents a robust and safe way to store valuables, which would have been appreciated by a merchant, pilgrim, or warrior alike.
How to Care for Suede Leather
Suede (or velour) is a buffed leather that looks beautiful but requires specific care to maintain its appearance:
- Protect from moisture: Suede does not like water. Try not to wear the pouch in heavy rain. If it does get damp, let it dry slowly at room temperature (never on a heater!).
- Cleaning: For dry dirt and dust, use only a special suede brush or a suede eraser. Brush gently and always in one direction.
- Stains: Grease stains are difficult to remove. For other stains, there are special suede cleaners.
- Never use regular creams, waxes, or oils intended for smooth leather on suede. You will destroy its velvety texture.
