DIRECTLY BASED ON ARCHEOLOGICAL FINDS FROM BIRKA AND ROSTA: this Tarsoly is directly reconstructed from a grave find in Rösta, Jämtland in Sweden, dated ca. 10th century. And from similar finds from the famous Viking settlement of Birka (Sweden) in graves 93B, 154, 716, 731. 855, 904, 943, 956. Those “type 3A bags” are commonly known as “Birka Viking Bags” even though they originated from the Hungarian steppes and were probably imported to Scandinavia through contact with the Magyars.

The Mytrojan Birka bag is approx. 15x18cm in size and complements your historical outfit, as a prop for film, reenactment or LARP.

The bag can be used to represent a historical figure from the Viking, Hungarian or contemporary steppe rider environment.
