The belt bag is made of first-class cow leather, which is one of the highest quality leathers. It is decorated with brass elements, which are faithfully reproduced from those found during archaeological excavations. The closure is designed to be both elegant and practical – you can thread the top mesh strap through the eyelet and be sure that the bag won't open even if you're fleeing from enemies (or running for the bus).

Straight out of Viking history

Do you know what's most interesting about this bag? Its design is based on real finds! It was inspired by a grave in Rösta (Jämtland, Sweden) and finds from the famous Viking settlement of Birka (also in Sweden, graves 93B, 154, 716, 731, 855, 904, 943, 956). You may be surprised to learn that although these bags are called ‘Birka Viking bags’, they actually originated in the Hungarian steppe. They came to Scandinavia thanks to the active trade and war contacts between Vikings and Hungarians.
