This Norseman Helmet is of the Gjermundbu type named for a similar one found in a burial mound of a great warrior found on the Gjermundbu farm in Norway. Its origin dates back to the Vendel Era, used in the year 875 during the Viking Age. This Viking Helmet is made of dark brown leather with rivets.

Normally made of riveted iron, our lighter weight version is made of dark brown, high-grade leather which has been hand-formed and riveted in the same manner as it’s ancestor.

This unlined helmet is sized to fit almost every head and will accept whatever type of lining you chose to place within it.
