If you’re looking for the perfect companion for your Viking battlefield outfit, this fully functional is definitely the helmet you need. It works well if you are reenacting a true Scandinavian Viking and not a Varangian / Rus / eastern Viking.
It is handmade from 14-gauge mild steel (1.9mm thick), lined with a comfortable and secure genuine leather liner. It is available for 68cm head circumference (one size fits most). A sturdy chin strap and brass buckle closure will keep it in place during the battle. Note: This product is carefully coated with a layer of oil when packaged that acts as a temporary (protective) layer against corrosion (rust), which can easily be wiped off using any oil remover or even a dry cloth.
