Templar Knight Statue with White Surcoat and Shield, 30 cm
Faithful Depiction of a Warrior Monk
The figurine stands out for the historical fidelity of its equipment from the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries. The head is protected by a heavy Great Helm (Bucket Helm) with brass cross reinforcement, beneath which the chainmail coif and armour covering the body are visible. The knight rests on a longsword and holds a heater shield in his left hand, also adorned with the Templar cross. Details such as leather straps, the structure of the mail rings, or the folds of the fabric are highlighted by careful hand-painting.
Material and Craftsmanship
The statue is made of polyresin, a durable synthetic resin that allows for capturing even the finest modelling details. Thanks to this, the chainmail looks like real metal and the cloak like fabric. With a weight of nearly one kilogram, the statue is stable and stands firmly on a base mimicking rocky terrain.
