Although this weapon is primarily inspired by famous computer games and dark fantasy literature, its roots confidently reach back into real history. The conical pommel of the sword, known in typology as a scent-stopper, is based on the popular European longswords of the 15th century. The long blade and extended hilt allow for a comfortable two-handed grip, providing maximum leverage during a strike. This sword is equipped with a sharp blade with an edge thickness of approximately 1 mm (0.04 in). For safety reasons and due to the nature of its construction, this is strictly a decorative item and a collector's artefact, unsuitable for practical use. The weapon is under no circumstances intended for contact fencing, battles (HEMA, buhurt, LARP combat), or man-to-man duels. Careless handling carries a real risk of serious or even fatal injury. Use the weapon purely as a decoration, a costume accessory, or for non-contact practice of stances (shadow fencing), always at your own risk.
Sword Maintenance
The blade is forged from 1060 carbon steel, meaning it is naturally susceptible to corrosion. To preserve its beauty and integrity, it is essential to care for it regularly and meticulously. After every touch with a bare hand, after practice, or after drawing it from the scabbard for an extended period, wipe the blade with a dry cloth and apply a thin layer of high-quality gun or preservation oil. The faux leather-covered wooden scabbard only needs to be lightly wiped with a damp cloth if it becomes dirty.
