Its design is based on an artifact found during one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of the Viking Age—the Oseberg ship burial in Norway. This richly decorated ship, dated to the 9th century, served as the final resting place for two important women and was filled with an incredible wealth of grave goods, including a complete kitchen set for magnificent feasts.
