ESP Soft Training Knife
Are you attracted to the adrenaline of martial arts and want to learn how to defend against a knife, but are worried about injuries? This soft training knife by the Czech brand ESP is designed specifically for beginners, youth, and for practicing full-contact scenarios. Unlike its hard counterpart, this model is made of a more flexible material that bends upon impact. This means that even if you fail to react in time during training and "get hit," you will walk away with a lesson learned, not a bruise or a laceration. It is an indispensable tool for Krav Maga, Systema, and other self-defense systems. Further product information ...

ESP Soft Training Knife: Safety First in Combat Drills
Realistic Shape, Safe Material
The knife faithfully copies the shape of a classic combat dagger, which is crucial for correct technique training – your brain needs to get used to the visual of a real weapon. The difference lies in the material. The blade is made of softened plastic (rubber-like), which deforms upon contact with the body and absorbs the energy of the strike. The handle retains its ergonomic shape and non-slip texturing, so the knife fits in your hand just as firmly as a sharp original. A prominent crossguard protects your fingers from slipping onto the "blade."
There is a hole at the end of the handle for threading a lanyard. This allows you to mark the knife or attach it to your gear. This model is the ideal choice for the first steps in martial arts, when it is more important to overcome the fear of a contact weapon and master basic motor skills.

Care and Usage
This knife is virtually maintenance-free. It is waterproof and withstands sweat and dirt – simply rinse it under running water after training. Although the material is soft, I recommend wearing safety goggles during dynamic drills involving attacks to the face. A hit to the eye with a flexible tip is better than with a hard one, but still unpleasant.
