Material and Suitable Usage

The target is made of tightly wound and compressed cellulose (a material similar to very hard cardboard). This construction has a major advantage: when you pull out a knife or dart, the paper fibres tend to partially close back up, extending the target's lifespan compared to ordinary polystyrene or soft wood.

However, it is crucial to observe the recommended load. The target is designed for:

• Small throwing knives (up to a weight of approx. 50 g).
• Throwing stars (shurikens).
• Blowgun darts.
• Crossbow bolts (only low-power pistol crossbows).

Important Warning: Never throw heavy knives, axes, tomahawks, or entrenching tools at this target. The strong impact of a heavy object would immediately puncture or tear the cellulose structure, and the target would be irreparably destroyed.

The graphics on the target refer to ancient Chinese cosmology. The Eight Trigrams (Bagua) represent the fundamental principles of reality and change described in the Book of Changes (I Ching). Each trigram consists of three lines (solid or broken) and symbolizes natural forces such as Heaven, Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, etc. In martial arts, especially in the Bagua Zhang style, these symbols represent different directions of movement and techniques. Care and Maintenance

To make the target last as long as possible:

• Moisture: Since it is made of paper/cellulose, it must not get wet. Store it in a dry place. If it gets damp, it will soften and lose its integrity.
• Rotation: Do not just throw at the centre (the "dragon"). Try to hit different trigrams around the perimeter so that the target wears evenly.
• Backstop: If you are a beginner, place a plywood board or an old blanket behind the target to avoid damaging the wall or fence if you miss.
