The Look of a Little Samurai

This sword is a scaled-down and simplified replica of a Japanese katana, adapted for children's hands. At first glance, the handle (tsuka) catches the eye, wrapped in black and beige nylon cord in a traditional cross pattern, ensuring not only an authentic look but also a firm grip for small hands. The blade is made of hardwood and painted silver to imitate the metallic shine of a real weapon. An integral part is the wooden scabbard (saya) in a natural light shade, decorated with the inscription "SAMURAI KIDS" and fitted with a decorative cord (sageo).

Did you know that in ancient Japan, the sword was considered the "soul of the samurai"? Samurai, the elite warriors, learned to master the sword from early childhood. They often used wooden training swords called bokken to avoid injury. With its length (74 cm / 29 inches), this "Samurai Kids" model corresponds more to the shorter sword called a wakizashi, which samurai carried with them constantly as a backup weapon. It is, therefore, the perfect "first sword" for your little hero's start.

Toy Care

Although the sword is wooden, it requires a little care to last a long time. Wood does not like water, so do not leave the sword in the rain or damp environments – it could swell, or the silver paint on the blade could be damaged. If it gets dirty, wipe it only with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
