These knives are based on the shape of the traditional Japanese tool, the kunai. Originally, the kunai was a versatile implement used by farmers and masons for digging or prying. It was only ninja legends and modern pop culture (especially anime and manga) that elevated it to the status of an iconic throwing weapon. The Crimson Streak model borrows the characteristic leaf-shaped blade and the ring on the pommel from this history but is fully adapted for modern sporting use. Construction and Usage
The knives are made of stainless steel with a black coating that increases corrosion resistance and eliminates unwanted glare. The handle is skeletonised with longitudinal slots and wrapped with a red ribbon. Softwood boards (pine, spruce) or specialized foam targets are ideal. A throwing knife is not an axe – throwing at hardwoods, knots, or live trees risks not only damaging the blade (bending the tip, breaking) but, more importantly, causes a dangerous rebound of the knife back towards you.

Care and Maintenance
Although the knives are made of stainless steel, you should wipe them down with a dry cloth after every training session to remove dirt or moisture. Occasionally check the tightness of the red wrapping on the handle, as it may loosen with frequent use. If the tip becomes blunt or develops a burr, you can gently smooth it out with a metal file.
