Large Jungle Adventurer Hollow Handle Survival Knife

Design and Features

The Clip Point blade is made of 420 stainless steel and features a black coating to eliminate glare. The spine of the blade is equipped with an aggressive saw back capable of handling wood or plastics. A prominent metal crossguard protects your hand from slipping onto the edge. Notice the two holes in the guard—these are lashing points allowing you to tie the knife to a stick, creating a makeshift spear for fishing or defence in an emergency. The light metal alloy handle features non-slip knurling. Hidden inside the waterproof cavity is a kit containing matches, fishing line, a hook, needle, and thread.

Historical Context: A Silver Screen Legend

When the movie First Blood hit cinemas in 1982, it revolutionized the knife world. Designer Jimmy Lile created the concept of a heavy hollow-handle knife that embodied the "all-in-one" philosophy. Although bushcraft trends have since shifted towards simpler full-tang constructions, knives of this type remain cult classics and symbols of preparedness. This model is an affordable tribute to that era.

Maintenance and Care

Although the knife is made of stainless steel, I recommend cleaning and drying it after every use in the field. Pay special attention to the thread on the handle cap—keep it clean and lightly oiled so the compass can always be unscrewed easily. The survival kit in the handle is basic, so feel free to supplement it with your own small items, such as superior tinder or water purification tablets. The nylon sheath can be hand-washed in lukewarm soapy water if it gets dirty.
