Cuisses and poleyns, France about 1380
These cuisses and poleyns were designed to be worn without greaves. They are equipped with simple ears, and with four articulated panels above and below the knee cap. The knee cap is connected to four articulated panels above and below. The cuisses and poleyns are hanged on a leather belt; they are connected to the legs by means of six adjustable leather straps with buckles.
