Decorative Axe with Twisted Metal Haft and Trefoil
Brutal Look and Massive Construction
This axe is made entirely of metal, giving it not only an authentic appearance but, above all, a remarkable weight. The dominant feature is the twisted haft, reminiscent of skilled blacksmithing. The grip is finished with a non-slip texture in the middle section and capped with a massive pommel, which helps to counterbalance the heavy head.
The axe head has a broad, slightly bearded blade, which is decorated with a cut-out trefoil motif, often associated with Gothic or Celtic designs. The reverse side of the head (the poll) is shaped into a blunt spike or hammer, enhancing the weapon's visually aggressive look. The entire surface has a polished, silver-coloured finish.
Use: Ideal for Costume and Decoration
Due to its extreme weight (2.7 kg) and all-metal construction, this axe is not suitable for swordplay, training, or historical combat re-enactment. Impacts would not only be dangerous, but the metal haft would transfer shocks extremely to the hand. However, it serves wonderfully as a prop for Cosplay, LARP (for characters who want to demonstrate strength), or as an impressive decoration for your study, clubroom, or wall.
Weapon Classification
This is a Class C weapon according to our classification of battle-ready weapons. It is therefore a purely decorative item. Product without warranty for damage caused by use in combat or practice!

Historical Context: Symbolism and Reality
Although all-metal weapons did exist, this construction was very unusual for axes in history. A wooden haft absorbs shock much better and was easier to replace if damaged. The design of this axe, especially the twisted haft and the head shape, draws heavily from fantasy inspiration. The trefoil motif, however, is a historical symbol found across cultures, from Celtic art to Gothic architecture, where it symbolised the Holy Trinity.

Care Instructions
As the axe is made of steel, it is susceptible to rust. Keep it dry. Wipe it down with a dry cloth after every use (especially after handling). For long-term storage, we recommend treating the surface with a thin layer of conservation oil (e.g., WD-40 or gun oil). This will prevent rust and maintain its polished appearance.
Warning: The axe is not intended for chopping wood, prying, or any form of contact combat. Using it for these purposes risks damaging the axe or causing injury.
