The Golden Goddess with the Symbol of Power

The statue is made of solid polyresin (hardened synthetic resin). Thanks to its properties, this material is ideal for preserving fine details and, with its weight and texture, faithfully resembles a real stone or metal statue. The surface is hand-painted in shades of gold and bronze, evoking the sun and divine radiance. Serket is depicted here as a standing woman in a tight-fitting robe, wearing the typical broad collar (usekh) adorned with colours. On her head, she bears her unmistakable attribute—a scorpion, which serves as a symbol of protection in this context.

She Who Causes the Throat to Breathe

The name Serket (or Selket) translates as "She who causes the throat to breathe." Originally worshipped in the Nile Delta as a goddess with the power to cure scorpion stings and snakebites, she later became one of the four main protective goddesses (along with Isis, Nephthys, and Neith) who guarded the canopic jars containing the deceased's internal organs. Her gilded statue found in Tutankhamun's tomb is considered a masterpiece of Egyptian art. Having her image at home symbolically protects your health and vitality.

• Cleaning: Remove dust with a soft brush or a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid water and chemical cleaners to prevent damage to the hand-painted finish.
• Placement: The statue is designed strictly for indoor use. Place it on a stable surface where it won't fall. Polyresin is strong but can chip if dropped on a hard floor.
